Lewis Tanwho played Cole Young in the recent film adaptation of the fighting game Mortal kombat, joined the cast of the English-language remake of the cult Soviet comedy by Eldar Ryazanov “Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath!“.
The Deadline portal shared the relevant news today, without disclosing any details about the role of Tan in the upcoming tape. Earlier it became known that the new version of the film will also be shot Emma Roberts (“We are the Millers”), Thomas Mann (“Project X: Dropped”), Garrett Hedlund (“Tron: Legacy”) and Britt Robertson (“Long road”).
The film will be directed by a Russian director based on a script by Tiffany Paulsen Marius Weisberg, responsible for comedies such as Hitler Kaput! and “Grandmother of easy virtue”.
The remake will be released under the title About fate and is described as a romantic comedy about two people who believe in love, but cannot find its true meaning until fate brings them together on New Year’s Eve. The authors promise a lot of humor, romance and a festive atmosphere.
Filming will begin in Boston this summer.
