The court urged to block the YouTube videos of Atomic Heart with the song “Music Bond Us”

Due to the ongoing conflict regarding use in the video Atomic heart songs “Music Tied Us” The Moscow City Court decided to temporarily block YouTube videos of the game, where this composition is used.

“To oblige the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media and other persons to stop creating technical conditions that ensure the placement, distribution and other use of the phonogram” Music has connected us “posted on the information and telecommunications network Internet on the pages of the YouTube portal.”

This decision was made “within the framework of interim measures due to a dispute between the founder of the Mirage group, Andrei Lityagin, and Google LLC, which owns YouTube.” If, within 15 days, Lityagin does not file a statement of claim at the request, in connection with which the blocking decision was made, Google will be able to apply for the blocking to be lifted.

Recall that the original video on the developers’ channel, where you can hear the song “Music has bound us”, was blocked on YouTube for copyright infringement at the end of June. According to the authors of the game, the decision is illegal.
A little later, Andrei Lityagin promised the authors of Atomic Heart a “nightmare” because the developers allegedly did not acquire the rights to the composition properly. The head of the studio then said that in this case everything is legal, and this situation will not affect the release in any way.

Atomic Heart is being created for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. With the release, the game will be added to the Game Pass. The same video, meanwhile, can be watched on YouTube including the Xbox channel.
