Already on March 31 for Among Us a free update will be released, which, among other things, will add an account system to the game. As noted by the author from the studio InnerSloth, while the system is intended for filing complaints and moderation, but later its capabilities will be expanded.
- It will be possible to report if someone in the game is behaving inappropriately: inappropriate chat messages, cheating, harassment. The consequences can range from temporary to permanent bans (including alternative accounts).
- Complaints will be read by people, not bots, so you will need to indicate the reason for the complaint.
- There is no linking of multiple accounts yet, but that will change soon.
- You will need to create an account to access the free chat. Without an account, you will have to use quick chat for security.
- You will need to create an account to freely change the display name. Without an account, you can choose from random names.
- Several people can choose the same username.
In the future, the authors hope to add a friend system and the ability to transfer cosmetic items between devices.
Recall that in addition to the account system in the upcoming update, players will have the largest map of the game called The Airship.
