The most anticipated among fans is definitely the announcement Dragon quest xii – the next full-fledged part of the main line, and the developers, apparently, plan to present it in one form or another. This conclusion was made by fans and Japanese journalists after the tweet of the father of the franchise. Yuji Hori, which reminded about the upcoming event.

“Finally, this Thursday Dragon Quest will celebrate its 35th anniversary. And as you may already know, for this day we have prepared a special program for you. We plan to announce a lot with thanks to the fans. Of course, there will be the same game… We are all looking forward to! “Hori pointed out.

The last numbered part of the series to date, Dragon quest xi, was released in 2017 in Japan and in 2018 in the USA and Europe (our reviews are original, updated version on Switch and PS4). Apparently, the new games Square Enix wants to release simultaneously around the world, or at least close the gap between Japanese and Western releases. The 35th anniversary presentation of Dragon Quest will be delivered to a global audience with translation into English – for the first time in the history of such programs

Most of Dragon Quest’s sales are still in the Japanese market, but Square Enix has been making efforts to popularize the franchise in recent years. Dragon Quest XI is presented on all modern platforms, and console users Xbox one and Xbox Series X | S received it immediately in the catalog Game pass
