St. Petersburg court banned link to Akira for “harm to health” – Igromania

Frunzensky District Court of St. Petersburg has banned link to anime Akira on the World Art website.

The reason for this decision was called the fact that the legendary project allegedly “can harm the health and mental development of children.” The prosecutor asked to declare the information on the link prohibited from distribution, which the court did.

At the same time, it was argued that the restriction did not apply to the works themselves, but only to similar links, but later from the portal “KinoPoisk HD” projects like “Tokyo Ghoul”. And then it turned out that he was removed from the site at the suggestion of Roskomnadzor.

The plot of “Akira” takes place in the future after the Third World War, when a friend of the hero from the gang of motorcyclists Neo-Tokyo attracts the attention of the government due to the awakened superpowers in him.
