Square Enix revealed the names of composers remake of Final Fantasy VII

Company Square enix revealed the names of remake composers Final Fantasy VII. They will create modern arrangements of classical musical compositions from the original game, as well as write completely new tracks.

  • Masashi Hamauzu (previously worked on music for Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XIII, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII and World of Final Fantasy);
  • Mitsuko Suzuki (Final Fantasy XIII-2, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Mobius Final Fantasy);
  • Yoshitaka Suzuki (Final Fantasy XV (wrote the theme of exploring the world “Wanderlust“, topic battle with ifrit and a few more tracks), Kingdom Hearts III);
  • Setaro Shima (Final Fantasy Record Keeper, Kingdom Hearts III);
  • Yoshinori Nakamura (Final Fantasy Record Keeper, Kingdom Hearts III).

The composer of the original Final Fantasy VII Nobuo Uematsu wrote for the remake only the title song called “Hollow“. This is a completely new track.

Square Enix introduced the song “Hollow” in the recently released new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake. The game goes on sale at Playstation 4 already April 10th.
