American branch of the company Sony Interactive Entertainment, temporarily suspended activity in social networks in connection with events around the movement Black lives matter (“Black lives are important”) in the United States, updated the description for the announcing presentation Playstation 5 YouTube video. At the time of this writing, the video managed to collect 3.7 million views.
Sony promised the audience soon to name a new date for the presentation of games for the PlayStation 5.
“This event has been postponed. We will notify you of a new date soon,” the statement said.
Initially, the event was to be held on June 4. For Sony, this event is very important – at the beginning of the week she even began to advertise it on American television, but soon the activity had to be abruptly curtailed.
Representatives of leading Sony studios write on their Twitter that they are proud of the company’s decision. She was supported by employees of major Western gaming media.
According to rumors, among the games scheduled to be shown on the show, there are Resident Evil 8, the new part of Silent Hill, a remake of Demon’s Souls and a remaster of Bloodborne. The latter supposedly will be released on PS5 and PC.
PlayStation 5 starts in the fall of 2023.
