Recent accusations globally concern two topics – the same corruption and ethical issues. Many did not like the absence of projects among the nominees for the Golden Globe, which were praised by other publications – in the spirit of “I can destroy you” and “Five of the same blood”… At the same time, the list contains things that are dubious for many, like “Emily in Paris”…
The Association is accused not only of lack of support for racial issues and projects on this topic, but also of playing “favorites”. According to the articles, in the process of creation “Emily in Paris” about 30 members of the organization were taken on a special plane for a press event straight to France.
In addition, despite charitable work and donations, the association pays out to its members unclear amounts that, in theory, could be contrary to US tax laws. Recently, participants have received about $ 2 million in payments for participation in various committees, which is twice as much as three years ago.
According to one of the anonymous respondents, money is simply sucked out of the organization under the guise of noble motives. One of the sources of income just remains the “Globe” ceremony, which in the last year alone brought in $ 27.4 million.
