Finnish studio Rovio entertainment announced that on the streaming platform Netflix in 2023, an animated series based on games will be released Angry birds. This was reported by the press service of the company.
To the production of the project Angry Birds: Summer Madness company also involved CAKE. According to the preliminary plan, a total of 40 episodes will be released, each of which will last about 11 minutes.
As explained in Rovio Entertainment, the new animated series will be similar in spirit to the full-length cartoons from the series “Angry Birds in the movie“from Sony Pictures Animation, however, characters will receive an updated design.
The main characters will remain Red, Chuck and Bomb, but new characters will appear. The audience is waiting for a prequel about teenagers in the summer camp, which is somehow managed by the incompetent Mighty Eagle.
Apparently, the decision to partner with Netflix is associated with low fees “Angry Birds in movie 2“. With a budget of $ 65 million, the cartoon raised just 154 million. The original, with a budget of $ 73 million, raised more than 352 million.
