Sony stopped the line of karaoke games servers Singstar. On the Playstation 3 all the online functionality of the project, along with the ability to download songs, was disabled. The SingStar icon also disappeared from the console menu of European gamers.
On the Playstation 4 after disconnecting the servers, users will be able to re-download previously downloaded and deleted songs, but the rest of the online functionality no longer works. In particular, now it is impossible to unlock some trophies, integration with social networks has disappeared.
However, SingStar can still be run offline, playing songs on discs, as well as songs previously purchased and downloaded to the console’s hard drive.
SingStar Series Designed by the London Division Sony, has become one of the most popular party entertainment on the PS2 and PS3, whereas on Ps4 the project was not particularly successful among the players.
Fans said goodbye to their favorite karaoke series, sharing their emotions on social networks.
