Lack of components for the production of electronics has affected almost all areas. Bloomberg notes that literally everyone is suffering now – both the creators of smartphones like Apple and the car manufacturers.
The main problem is the lack of semiconductors, which are produced by TSMC and Samsung. The demand for them during the pandemic was so high that firms will have to spend more than one year to satisfy it, the media note.
NVIDIA, AMD, Microsoft and Sony have already indirectly and directly said that the deficit for the company’s products will remain at least until the summer, although AMD no longer expects the situation to normalize until the second half of the year.
