PSVR 2 helmet may get remote play support on PlayStation 5 – rumor

Of all three platform holders Sony more than others pays attention to the development of virtual reality. Her PlayStation VR has become the most popular VR headset on the market and the company is already working on a successor to the device.

Sony has not yet published details about the new helmet, but today quite interesting information has appeared on the network. Twitter user Lumen rummaged through the files of the updated app PS Remote Play and discovered it has a potential hint of a remote play feature for PSVR… This idea was prompted by a line of code, which says that it is impossible to use a microphone with remote playback when a VR headset is connected.

The current version of PSVR does not support Remote Play, as it has a wired connection, however, in the case of a new helmet, this possibility can really become a reality, especially considering the integrated into the system Wi-Fi 6 for a more stable and faster wireless connection.

PlayStation 5 launch will take place 19th November… It has already been confirmed that the console will be compatible with the current PSVR generation and most of its games.
