Despite the fact that the last ceremony “Oscar” took place two months ago, the organizers announced the upcoming special awards.
Thus, four artists will receive honorary statuettes for their “contribution to cinema” – Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Helen May and Liv Ullman… They will be presented on January 15th as part of a special event in Hollywood. In addition, Glover will receive the Gene Hersholt Charity Award.
In a topical statement, the authors called Jackson a “cultural icon” whose work across genres of films has touched audiences around the world over the years. The rest of the participants were also mentioned with a kind word, noting their talents in cinema – both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
