Samsung is phasing out chargers and earbuds in smartphone boxes

Apparently, the company Samsung plans to move away from the supply of smartphones with chargers, not only in cases with flagship solutions, but also with all others. Moreover, in a new statement, the head of Samsung’s mobile division Tae Moon Ro confirmed that his company is working to phase out the headphones in retail packaging of its smartphones.

“We believe that gradually removing chargers and earbuds from our product line-ups can help address sustainable consumption issues and alleviate any discomfort consumers may experience from constantly getting unnecessary charging accessories for new phones.”

On the other hand, the South Korean company will release at least two fast wireless chargers in the coming weeks. While chargers are clearly a must for smartphone users, earbuds are more of a bonus that companies add to make the package more attractive. It looks like Samsung fans will have to buy both separately from this year.
