The heroine of the game “Black Book”, the young peasant Vasilisa, does not want to be a sorceress. She wants to marry her beloved – but then he tragically dies. And then she takes up the Black Book, capable of fulfilling any desire, if you remove seven seals from its pages. But the devilish forces will surely try to prevent this.
The game Black Book takes place at the end of the XIX century, in the Perm region. The plot is inspired by Russian tales, folklore stories about evil spirits. The consultant of the studio is the ethnographer and collector of pasties Konstantin Shumov. And the game world is based on maps of the Cherdynsky district, which were found in the archives of the Perm Historical Museum.
