Site Biohazard declassifed shared some details of the upcoming Resident evil. It is reported that the information was obtained from an anonymous source that contacted the editors, so everything written below should be taken as a rumor.
Resident Evil 8 is supposed to get a subtitle Village. This is supposedly done so that Capcom could beat the Roman numeral VIII – the serial number of the project, and emphasize the main place of the game.
The main protagonist will again be Ethan Winters, more than once mentioned in previous rumors. And Chris Redfield, appearing in flashbacks, will be hostile. In one scene, he breaks into the house of Ethan, Mia and their child. What role the latter will play in the plot is not yet clear, however, Chris shoots one of the family members in the episode described above.
The appearance of the hero again underwent some changes and is now somewhere in the middle between the original strong Chris and the new, more slender one.
In addition to the plot, the article mentions some gameplay mechanics. For example, in Resident Evil 8 the player will be chased by a witch similar to Margarita. It is able to control insects and after defeating it crumbles, turning into them. In the demo, the witch “pursues” the player, bursting with a characteristic “laugh”.

Over the past few months, a lot of rumors about Resident Evil 8 appeared on the network. Recently, with reference to its sources, insider Dusk Golem announced that the game will be released quite soon and is currently being developed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC . According to him, initially the project took place as RE: Revelations 3, but later Capcom decided to turn it into a full-fledged license plate.
After some time, the information was confirmed by the staff of the Video Games Chronicle website, who noted that Resident Evil 8 will be released in 2023 and will seriously differ from other games in the main series.
