Company 2K Games and studio Gearbox Software confirmed that the shooter Borderlands 3 will be included in the starting lines Xbox Series X / S and Playstation 5

Borderlands 3 for next-gen consoles will be fully optimized to take advantage of their processing power. On Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the game will work in 4K with speed 60 frames per second in singleplayer and online co-op… In addition, other features will be split-screen support for 3-4 players and the option of vertical split-screen when playing together. It will also appear on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One via a patch.

At the same time, owners of Borderlands 3 on current consoles will be able to update the project to the next generation for free within the same family of consoles… In the event of a transition, all previously accumulated progress will be preserved, so that players can immediately return to where they left off the last time.
