Rumor: Disney is developing a remake of the cartoon Atlantis: The Lost World – review

Portal The illuminerdi, citing its sources, reports that Disney engaged in the production of a remake of the cartoon Atlantis: The Lost World.

The project is still at an early stage of development, and there are few details about it, however, presumably, the new remake will go along the path of the studio’s latest work and transfer the animation adventure to the format of a traditional film.

The original project came out in 2001 and talked about the journey of the cartographer Milo and his team, which in 1914 went in search of the mysterious Atlantis. On the way, they participated in many adventures, including in various fights and clashes with mystical forces.

The cartoon raised $ 186 million worldwide (with a budget of $ 120 million), and in 2003 he released a sequel past cinemas.

Will they develop a project for a movie or Disney + – while it is not clear, however, taking into account the scale of history, it can be assumed that traditional cinemas will still be the target.
