Rocket Lake-S processor does not impress with results yet – review

In the benchmark database Fire strike and Time spy processor related entries Intel Rocket Lake-S. This chip has not yet been officially announced, but it should be the first CPU with a new architecture that is not based on Skylake.

Judging by the tests, the novelty is equipped with eight cores and supports sixteen threads of instructions. The frequency range extends from 3.2 to 4.3 GHz. Either this is a mistake, or, most likely, we have before us an engineering sample with reduced frequencies. Other well-known parameters include the 14 nm ++ process technology.

As for the results, then in Fire strike the chip scored 18898 points in the “physical” test and 1895 in the graphic. The latter was the achievement of the GPU Xe. The total score is 1746 “parrots.” AT Time spy the total result is 605, the processor rating is 4963 points, and the graphics are 524. This is comparable to Ryzen 3 3100 and Core i7 7700K, but, most likely, indicators will grow by the release.
