The organizers of the digital festival of independent developers Guerrilla collective, where, among other things, the creators were supposed to speak Baldur’s Gate III, announced the postponement of the event in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Initially, the three-day event was supposed to start on June 6 at 20:00 Moscow time, but now it will be held from thirteen by June 15th.
“We recognize the fact that it is time to act and give voices calling for justice and change to be heard. We are united for the benefit of change, justice and support for the Black Lives Matter,” the organizers explained.
Wherein June 7th Guerrilla Collective will have a special stream dedicated only to games from black developers or with black protagonists:
“We are preparing a live broadcast on June 7 to highlight the voices of blacks in our industry. The broadcast will be dedicated exclusively to demonstrating games created by blacks, titles with black protagonists and conversations with these developers. In the near future we will share more detailed information with you.”
Previously, due to mass protests in the United States, presentations of the PlayStation 5, Madden NFL 20, Cyberpunk 2077, as well as the online shows Summer of Gaming, PC Gaming Show, Future Games Show and others were also postponed.
