Psyonix Collapses Rocket League Support on Mac and Linux

Studio Psyonix decided to refuse support for game versions Rocket league on platforms Linux (SteamOS) and MacOS. This was announced in the official developers blog.

As stated in the statement, the studio does not consider it more appropriate to support these platforms. Therefore, in March 2023, the final patch will be released that will disable online functionality, including in-game purchases.

However, customers can continue to play offline. If the game is bought in Steamthen Psyonix advises to install Windows 7 or newer operating system from Microsoft.

It is possible that the actions of the creators of the Rocket League are due to the fact that in mid-2019 they were purchased Epic games. The latter is interested in developing its digital store Epic Games Store.
