Beta testers received a new version of the PlayStation 5 firmware last week, which, among other things, unlocked the M.2 slot to expand the console’s internal storage.
Compatible devices have already been submitted to the company Seagate and Western digital… Cerny opted for an SSD from the latter – the WD_BLACK SN850 with a heatsink that is available in three options: 500GB ($ 140), 1TB ($ 250), and 2TB ($ 430). Its read speed reaches 7000 MB / s.
