Rock band drummer CKY Jess Margera has unveiled the potential development of a new game in the series Tony hawk…
Last month, Margera became a guest of the podcast The Behind Closed Doorswhere he was asked to talk about what musicians do for a living besides selling albums. According to him, the main income comes from touring, and additional income comes from the conclusion of licensing deals, including with video game developers.
One of CKY’s songs titled “96 Quite Bitter Beings” sounded in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, however MarjEra made it clear that the band’s music will also appear in the next installment of the franchise.…
“BCD: I understand that you guys participated in [в создании] at least one Tony Hawk game, right?
DM: Yes. And I’m sure we will also appear in the new one. “
It can be assumed that under the new game the drummer meant last year’s compilation Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2which is due out on Nintendo Switch soon, however in further conversation he mentioned the Remastered Collection as a standalone product.
“BCD: I bet it was a huge surprise when you found out [что появитесь в новой игре]…
DM: Yes. My son just got the PS5 and along with it the remasters of the first and second parts.
It’s so cool because the classic Tony Hawk is incredibly good and superbly thought out. But it is obvious that the graphics are not very good on older systems. So they just took ready-made [игры] as a basis and made them amazing visuals. “
Early last year, punk band The Death Set announced on their Facebook page that they were licensing 5 new tracks for the game “Tony Hawk 2023” ahead of the official announcement of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. Perhaps the situation repeats itself again.
A few months earlier, the studio Vicarious visions, which created the remasters of Pro Skater 1 and 2, became part of Blizzard and will no longer be engaged in their own projects. The team is currently helping with the development of the Diablo II: Resurrected remake.
