Popular streamer PewDiePie signed an exclusive agreement with YouTube

Popular YouTube video hosting today announced the signing of an exclusive deal with Felix “PewDiePie” Chelberg, which for many years has been one of the largest creators of content for the platform.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Since 2010, Chelberg has been publishing videos on YouTube, and since then he has managed to attract over 104 million subscribers and collect more than 25 billion views. Video hosting states that these numbers “by a significant margin ahead of other channels in the history of YouTube”.

Despite the fact that Felix built his brand mainly on YouTube, before he studied the possibilities of other services. In 2014, he signed an agreement with Major League Gaming to host a number of podcasts on the MLG.tv streaming platform, and in 2017, he collaborated with Twitch video hosting, for which he recorded a weekly show.

In 2016, Chelberg partnered with Disney Maker Studios to launch his own entertainment network, Revelmode, but next year between them followed severance of relations amid scandal over several commercials showing signs of anti-Semitism.
