PlayStation fans upset again: Maneater, following Dirt 5 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will not allow transferring progress from PS4 to PS5

Company Tripwire Interactive confirmed that the killer shark RPG released in May this year Maneater will be part of the launch lineup of next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft. However, the news will disappoint PlayStation fans.

Owners of PS4 copies will be able to upgrade their game to the PS5 version for free, but all progress, including stats, saves and trophies, cannot be transferred to the Sony nextgen console… This information is the authors of the game indicated in the FAQ section.

That said, the new Xbox consoles won’t have this problem. The creators explained that Maneater for Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S is effectively the same app, which cannot be said for the PS4 and PS5 versions, which will be served separately. So bloody shark action follows Dirt 5 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon has joined the list of games that will not allow transferring progress between PS4 and PS5 with a free upgrade.

Release Maneater will take place on November 10 on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and the game will reach PS5 on November 12.
