Multiple owners Playstation 4 received an invitation to participate in the closed beta testing of the system update under the number 8.00.
Changes include a complete rework of the Hangouts functionality, as well as several improvements regarding the menu and screen design.

- Added the ability to create groups for communication in voice chat.
- Open and closed Parties are a thing of the past, and groups have come to replace them.
- A new party can be created from scratch or join a saved group.
- After exiting voice chat, the list of participants will be saved as a group for subsequent interaction.
- Within a specific group, you can send text messages.
- Added the ability to mute the microphone, while all participants of the party will see this.
- Now you can connect to Hangouts, which are already members blocked by you. Upon entering, a notification will appear.
- Entering such a Party, you will not hear each other, as well as join the Share Play of the blocked player.
In addition, the new firmware will introduce some changes to parental controls.
The previous major update to the PlayStation 4 system software, serial number 7.00, added support for Remote Play to Android mobile devices, increased the size of the Party and much more.
