The computer version of the role-playing action movie Horizon: Zero Dawn has risen in price in a digital store Epic Games Store after Steam. Now, Russian gamers on both platforms are asked for 2,800 rubles. Initially, it could be bought on Steam for 930 rubles, and in the Epic Games Store – for 1,099 rubles.
The Russian region is not the only one where the game has risen sharply. For example, in the Argentinean Steam segment, the price has quadrupled, in Brazil – twice, in Turkey – two and a half times. In the UK, the cost was raised from 32 to 39.99 pounds, in Ukraine – from 579 to 709 hryvnias. This was expected to provoke a heated discussion on forums and social networks. Some even offer to bring down the rating of the game when it comes out to demonstrate its dissatisfaction with the publisher.
“For a generic open world with a generation of consoles at the end of the life cycle, give 3 mowers? Well,” said one of the disappointed players.
“If they don’t fix the price, but what for it is necessary. I won’t take a 70% discount in a couple of years. It’s disgusting.”

The PC version of Horizon: Zero Dawn will be released on August 7, 2023. Continuation of the game is in development for the PlayStation 5.
