It was announced back in December 2018 that an updated version of Panzer Dragoon 2 was planned, along with the announcement of a remake of the original game, but since then the sequel has not been mentioned anymore. The re-release of the first part during this time managed to appear on all current platforms, including Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Steam and GOG.
Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei, although it has a two in its name, is a prequel. Its plot tells the story of a young man named Landy, whose village is destroyed by an ancient powerful weapon. During the attack, Lundy and his dragon Laji manage to escape, and now they have to avenge the death of their loved ones. The original game was released in 1996 on the Sega Saturn console.
