Outriders – the best class for solo play – review addiction

The fun of role-playing depends a lot on the right class. If you play in a group, it will be easy to assign roles and choose the right character. But what if you come through Outriders by oneself? Read in our guide.

First, let’s look at what classes are available and what are the features of each:

  • Destroyer – an ordinary tank. Skills are aimed at being ahead of allies and absorbing as much damage as possible.
  • Technomancer – support character. Places turrets and heals allies.
  • Pyromancer Is a typical damage dealer. Deals fire damage at medium range and quickly removes crowds of enemies.
  • Trickster – assassin. Abilities allow you to move quickly and do high damage in melee.

Top characters for single player

4th place – Pyromancer

Pyromancer has a lot of damage, but not enough health. This is especially critical in single player games when there are no allies to cover and heal. By itself, this character heals only if he kills the enemy that was hit by the skill in the last 15 seconds. At the same time, the cooldown of abilities is rather big, which is why it will not be possible to restore health all the time. The only adequate way to play solo for him is to kill opponents before they can do any damage.

3rd place – Technomant

The Technomancer feels more comfortable alone. He can create a “Toxic Turret” or “Cryo Turret”. The first one imposes a poisoning effect that periodically deals damage. The second freezes all hit enemies. In addition to additional damage, turrets distract the enemy towards themselves. During the time that the enemies are dealing with the technique, you can change your position or make a couple of shots.

Due to the fact that this character is healed for any damage dealt, he becomes not such a bad choice for a single player. Nevertheless, the remaining classes are still ahead of him in terms of damage and survivability.

2nd place – Destroyer

This character is a survival specialist. Large reserves of health and armor are perfectly complemented by the ability “Golem”, which allows you to take 65% less damage for 8 seconds. And the skill “Gravitational jump” will help you quickly get into the thick of things, and at the same time spread all enemies upon landing. In addition, this technique will allow you to heal well, because the Destroyer restores health for each enemy killed nearby. The winning strategy is to go forward and be as close to the enemy as possible.

As a result, the character has excellent mobility, can be in battle for a long time, and at the same time does not require too high a skill for a comfortable game. This is a great choice for beginners not only in single player but also in cooperative play.

1st place – Trickster

The most comfortable way to play solo is to play as Trickster. Using the abilities “Hunter and Prey” and “Borrowed Time”, you can quickly move around the battlefield and reduce the ranks of opponents, and when you smell fried – instantly leave the scene of the crime. The tactic of this class is Hit and Run. Most often, you will kill enemies before they have time to do something. In addition, for each enemy killed near the enemy, you will receive not only healing, but also a shield. Therefore, if you suddenly overestimate your strength and get into a crowd of enemies, just keep on fighting – and you will get out of the water dry.

In all respects, this class is ahead of the rest. There is great damage, good survivability (due to the additional shield), and the ability to quickly move around the battlefield. The only drawback is that playing for the Trickster is not so easy. You need to behave aggressively, watch the movements of opponents and the rollback of abilities. It will not be possible to simply sit out behind the shelters.
