Despite the fact that since the release Returnal for Playstation 5 from the Finnish team Housemarque a little more than two months have passed, and not all buyers have been able to see the credits of the experimental action. According to statistics Sony Interactive Entertainment, the final boss of Returnal, Ophion, has now been defeated by 21.3% of players… For this they received the Inner Darkness trophy.
Such statistics can be explained by the rather high complexity of Returnal, as well as by the atypical structure of the game, which implies multiple repeated passes of locations with completely zeroed game progress.
In comparison, in a hardcore RPG Demon’s Souls the statistics of the passage is slightly higher – the last boss in this project was able to defeat 33.0% of the players…
Even though Ophion is the final boss in Returnal, defeating him does not completely end the game. The fact is that there is also a third act in the PS5 exclusive, which is unlocked as a result of collecting certain items. Only 8.9% of buyers passed the third act.
