Obsidian cuts the release of updates for Grounded – new updates will be less frequent, but larger

Survival Simulator Developers Grounded from Obsidian Entertainment announced a change in the patching schedule for the game. Updates will now be larger, but less frequent

According to the explanation on the official website of the project, monthly content release along with solving large tasks is difficult for a small Grounded team. As a result, this shift will give developers the space to work on more meaningful and better updates. So, already at the end of June, one of the largest updates of all time should be released for the game.

The update will, among other things, bring new features for the photo mode, introduce more building items, increase the amount of giant food items, add the ability to flip some parts of the building to get their mirrored versions, for example, spiral staircases and so on. A full list of improvements will be revealed shortly.

Grounded started in Early Access in July 2023 with a full launch scheduled for this year. The game is available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
