Noctua continues to develop passive cooling for powerful CPUs – review

In mid-2019, the company Noctua presented at the exhibition Computex 2019 prototype passive processor heatsink, which was enough for cooling Intel Core i9-9900K. It was a one and a half kilogram giant made of metal, which could take the necessary amount of heat from the processor.

And so it is reported that the company did not abandon the idea of releasing such a solution to the market. As expected, the production version will be shown at the end of this year, or early next.

With regard to technical aspects, last year’s prototype was able to dissipate up to 120 watts of heat on its own, as well as up to 180 watts in the presence of “low-speed” fans in the cases. Perhaps in the release these indicators will even improve.

The price has not yet been specified, but it is obvious that such a radiator will not be cheap.
