Sony comments on the confusion over the name of the new God of War for PlayStation 5

On Thursday, Sony released an investor presentation for its gaming division, where the title and logo of the new unit was seen on one of the slides. God of war for Playstation 5

The project was referred to in the document as God of War: Ragnarok, which led to the assumption that this would be the name of the sequel, but no.

First, users found out that Sony used an unofficial fan logo for some reason. The company quickly gave a back and replaced the image in the presentation with a blank without a subtitle.

Today, in a commentary to IGN, a SIE spokesman confirmed that the developers have not yet revealed the final name of the game, and the wrong logo was mistakenly inserted in the original presentation

“We apologize for this confusion and look forward to sharing more details as soon as possible.”

Officially, little is known about the new God of War, apart from a short teaser shown back in September. The video mentioned the date of 2023, but the project was reportedly postponed to a later date.
