Nintendo patented a new stylus pen for Joy-Con controllers

Japanese company Nintendo filed a new patent showing the right controller Joy-con for Nintendo switch with a nozzle, the tip of which can be used as a stylus.

Siliconera portal reports that the new patent was published on the website of the US Patent Office on January 16. A few days later, journalists found him.

The stylus will use the capabilities of the Joy-Con controller. In particular, we are talking about HD Rumble technology. For example, the Joy-Con will vibrate if the player points the game with the stylus to the desired point. In addition, using one of the joystick buttons it will be possible to change the stylus operation mode, switching, for example, to wider and thicker lines when drawing.

Of course, it’s too early to talk about patent implementation. Companies register many patents that remain on paper.

If the patent is realized, then the stylus tip will replace the usual Joy-Con nozzle, which is supplied with all Switch.
