Authoritative Japanese edition Nikkei announced plans Nintendo increase this fiscal year (from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2023) issue Switch up to about 30 million units, which should be a record in the history of the console. “People with direct knowledge of the matter have confirmed plans to expand production. In addition, Nintendo will release the next Switch model with improved graphics. This will be the first such offer since the release of Nintendo Switch Lite in 2019.”

Also, the console should get more memory and a larger 7-inch OLED display, and some future games may not appear on older console models.
