According to the lore, Dota 2 Luna serves the goddess of the dark moon, Selemine. The girl was accepted into the order after she passed the test of the patroness: during the wanderings, the hunter chased the prey, but almost died. When she faced a choice to join the order or forget about its existence, Luna decided to abandon the past and became the protector of the Silver Forests. The players assume that the character’s story was borrowed from the Celts – in their legends there are often warriors who worship the night star.
Luna is ranked 36th most popular in the current Dota 2 meta, according to the Dotabuff portal. Players who choose this heroine win 53.45% of matches.
