The media reported about the casting for a new film based on “Pet cemeteries”, clarifying the history of the project a little.
When horror found director Lindsay Beer (“Tread of Chaos”), the authors, according to the sources, have not yet decided on the concept. Previously, there was information about the prequel, then that the tape would restart the franchise, and so on. However, it looks like the film will still unfold in the past.
So, Jackson White (“It can be worse”), will play Jada Crandall, the protagonist’s neighbor Luis Creed from the original story. Considering that then the neighbor was already in old age, and White was young, it is reasonable to assume that history will travel back in time. Perhaps it was based on Jad’s personal story in connection with the cemetery, which he told Louis.
Filming will start in August, and the premiere will take place on the service Paramount +… The tape will be the fourth story based on the novel by Stephen King – after the 1992 original, its sequel and the 2019 restart.
