Resource Hot hardware reported curious news about possible plans Nvidia. According to him, the “green” are developing a new version of a budget graphics card GeForce MX GPU based TU117. It belongs to the family Turing and is used including GeForce GTX 1650.
Judging by the available information, the new product can get 2 GB of GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 10 Gb / s. All this will significantly improve the performance of the video subsystem, even in inexpensive laptops. Although, of course, you should not count on ray tracing and DLSS smoothing.
The new MX card is expected to compete. Intel Xe DG1, which indicates an approximate release date – the second half of 2023. Of course, this has not yet been officially confirmed, so it can still change.
The new graphics card runs under the internal designation N18S-G5Moreover, two versions will be presented: the more powerful one based on GDDR6 memory with a clock frequency of 5 GHz, as well as the less efficient one with GDDR5 memory at a frequency of 3.5 GHz. Both will be based on the Turing chip.
