New Horizons beat DOOM Eternal in UK retail – review

Last week, two major projects were immediately released, so it was interesting to see which of them turned out to be the sales leader.

British retail, as it turned out, was led by an exclusive Nintendo.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons managed not only to become the leader of the weekly chart, but also sold 3.5 times more Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2013) for Nintendo 3DS, which was the largest release in the history of the franchise.

In addition, New Horizon as a whole has become the largest release for Switch in the region, excluding total sales Pokemon sword and Pokemon shield.

In second place on the fresh chart was Doom eternal. Compared to its predecessor in 2016, sales decreased by a third, but this is not taking into account digital sales, which have clearly grown over four years. And do not forget about the pandemic, which is why retail can also lose its audience.

However, sales grew and the old-timers of the chart: at Call of duty modern warfare by 282%, y FIFA 20 – 326%, and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe – 100%.
