New Features & Improved Performance: Horizon Zero Dawn Gets Another Patch On PC

Despite the fact that since the release Horizon: Zero Dawn it’s been almost four months on PC, the team Guerrilla Games continues to catch various bugs and release fixes.

The studio has released a new patch today 1.08, the key innovation of which was the addition of support for cloud saves and achievements in the version for Epic Games Store… However, it was not without a fly in the ointment: if you are already playing the game, then achievements for completed challenges will not be unlocked retroactively and will be counted only with a new playthrough.

The developers also fixed a number of known bugs, added the adaptive sharpening function FidelityFX Contrast in graphics settings and optimized the use of video memory, which should help prevent unstable operation of the game due to lack of VRAM, improve overall performance and minimize micro-overhead.

In addition, the update improves the performance of clouds at high and ultra settings, and fixes an associated bug where clouds looked pixelated at certain screen resolutions.
