Polish holding CD PROJEKT today published a new financial report showing the performance of the company throughout 2019. Sales revenue amounted to 521 million zlotys (about 125 million US dollars), which is 44% more than the results of 2018. The main drivers of success were excellent role-playing sales. The witcher 3including a new release for the Nintendo Switch handheld, and the launch of a card game Gwent for mobile OS.
In 2019, they managed to sell 6.6 million copies of the third Witcher. There was only 9.4 million more in the year of release. In addition to the Netflix series of the same name with Henry Cavill in the lead role, the main reasons for the excellent sales can also be attributed to the preparation of many people for the self-isolation regime caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic.
