Microsoft tests 1080p for cloud gaming Xbox Game Pass – review addiction

Edition Windows Central citing its own source reports that Microsoft tests 1080p resolution for cloud gaming Project xCloud, which is included in the subscription Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

As confirmation, the source gave an image Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrificewhich is launched via Project xCloud in the above resolution. Currently running games through Project xCloud are limited to 720p.

The improvement is part of Microsoft’s plan to migrate its cloud gaming servers from the Xbox One architecture to the Xbox Series X architecture during this year.

This will allow Project xCloud to compete with services from other companies such as Google Stadia, Amazon Luna and GeForce Now, which already support 1080p streaming.

Earlier, the media reported that Microsoft began testing the Project xCloud browser application. It will allow the service to bypass the rules. App Store and go to iOS. The beta version of Project xCloud will appear on PC and iOS this spring.
