Microsoft is working on its analogue DLSS for Xbox Series and PC

In vacancies Microsoft found specialists who should be engaged in the creation of an analogue DLSS for Windows and Xbox – as opposed to the method AMD, here they want to use machine learning.

Microsoft plans to implement its own scaling algorithm based on DirectX, giving access to it to many developers and users – the API should work with all modern video cards.

Now DLSS is considered the leader in upscaling on the PC, but it requires a special video card with tensor cores, while the AMD analog works on most GPUs, but its results are much less impressive.

Most likely, Microsoft’s method is in its early stages of creation, and it is unlikely that we will see any results of work anytime soon.
