Microsoft Flight Simulator’s First Major Update Will Improve Map of Japan – TGS 2023 Announcement Trailer

On the past today within Tokyo Game Show 2023 Online presentation of the Xbox Showcase it was announced that the first major free update for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be dedicated to Japan. The release will take place next week, September 29th

The update will offer an updated digital elevation map of Japan with improved detail of the cities of Sendai, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Tokyo, Utsunomiya and Yokohama, recreated using high-resolution 3D photogrammetry… In addition, the update will bring twenty hand-crafted local landmarks, such as Mount Fuji and Himeji Castle, to the game, as well as six new airports located in Hatijoujima, Kerama, Kushiro, Nagasaki, Shimojishima and Suvanosejima. Each of them will have three landing tests, where novice players will have to try their hand at piloting an airplane.
