Aggregator Metacritic published a chart of the best publishers for 2023. When calculating, only the ratings of critics were taken into account, and the distribution was carried out according to the following criteria:
- the average score of all games released in 2023;
- the percentage of games with a good average grade (75 or higher);
- the percentage of games with a poor average rating (49 or below);
- number of games with an average rating of 90 or higher (minimum 7 reviews).
Below are the top 20 publishers for 2023, which did not include such large companies as Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive, Koch Media, THQ Nordic and Bandai Namco.
