Even before the announcement Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales there were rumors online that Insomniac games working on the sequel to his spider-man hit, however, the project presented yesterday is not a full-fledged continuation, but rather an independent extension based on the original game. The information after the presentation was clarified by Sony in a commentary for The Telegraph.

“I think you can call it an extension and improvement of the last game. Much of it is dedicated to Miles Morales – this is an addition, but the game also received major improvements and engine upgrades that use some of the most important technologies and features of the PlayStation 5,” explained Simon Ratter, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Executive Vice President of European Business.

“I think everyone will be interested in looking at how familiar games can change to some extent thanks to the PlayStation 5 functionality.”
