Last week Mafia iii received patch 1.10 with upgrade to version Definitive Edition. The re-release did not bring important changes, except for the addition of all previously released DLCs, but at the same time, the developers still managed to awake.
The update note states that the update corrects a number of known errors and improves the operation of the extended dynamic range (HDR), however, users noticed that along with this update removes console support from the game Xbox one x and Playstation 4 pro. Messages with this problem are massively published on Resetet, Reddit and in Twitter.
Mafia III’s Definitive Edition update reverted Xbox One X support. It runs on my One X at a low resolution and with blurry textures. I just bought it and would to be able to play the purchase I made. I’m not the only thing me having this issue. Is there any comment on a fix?

At the same time, on the official Microsoft website, it is still indicated that Mafia III is optimized for Xbox One X and 4K, but in fact, after installing the update, the game rolls back to the version for the regular Xbox One with a lower resolution and other differences. The same applies to the PlayStation 4 Pro – an update in fact does not improve, but downgrade the game.
At the moment, the only solution to the problem is to reinstall the game without updating 1.10However, in the case of digital versions, it is simply impossible to refuse an update if it is already downloaded.
