“Is this a game from PlayStation 2?”: Slightly Mad Studios showed the fast and the furious racing action gameplay

Company Bandai namco introduced today the first true racing action gameplay Fast & Furious: Crossroads. At the same time, a new release date was announced – August 7 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Steam.

In the video, the authors demonstrated cutting the gameplay from several levels, in one of which the Fast and the Furious heroes on machines armed with gadgets must destroy the enemy hovercraft, in the other the racers confront the tank, and in the third they pursue a real space shuttle, while it all looks as much as possible It’s cheap and looks more like a mobile game, rather than an “NFS killer,” as the developers once called it. Judging by the comments and dislikes, users, too, were, to put it mildly, not happy.

“The best graphics of 2011.”

“It looks pretty decent for a game from the early 2010s.”

“I look forward to the release to play on my PS2.”

“I never thought Spy Hunter would get a remaster with PS2.”

“Looks like something went wrong.”

“How the hell could Slightly Mad Studios do this? They created one of the cutest races and are now rolling out this junk?”

“I hope they follow Sonic’s example and remake it before releasing it. Otherwise, now it looks like a PS2 era game with shitty physics. “

“Glad some developers are still releasing PS2 games.”

“I thought it was a game from Gameloft.”

Creation of Fast & Furious: Crossroads is engaged Slightly mad studios under the wing Codemasters. In addition to the single player campaign, the game also promises to offer some unique online mode for three people, but there are no details about it yet.
