According to preliminary data, the new studio project Sucker Punch Productions will be named Ghost of Ikishima and will offer a single player campaign. Baker advised focusing on Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
As the name implies, events will unfold on the Japanese island of Iki, which is five times smaller than Tsushima in size. Note that the Mongols organized two unsuccessful invasions of Japan (in 1274 and 1281). In the first attempt, they captured the islands of Tsushima and Iki, the second time – only Iki.
Apparently, the add-on will be distributed separately from the main game, and the release may take place as early as 2023. It’s unclear what platforms Ghost of Ikishima will be on, given Sony’s inconsistent policies. Possible release on PS4 and PS5, or only on next-generation consoles.
