Insider: Next year will surprise Resident Evil fans, Code: Veronica and Dino Crisis remakes not in development

Insider Aesthetic Gamer, aka moderator Dusk golem from the ResetEra forum, continues to share information he knows about the future horror series Resident evil and other upcoming projects Capcom.

Some time ago, an informant already reported that in addition to Resident Evil 3, the company is currently developing Resident evil 8 and another unannounced game in the series. The project, as previously stated, will not be part of the main line or another remake, however, Dusk Golem noted today that next year will be crazy for fans. A new game should appear within 366 days after the release of Resident Evil 3 Remake. Apparently, the insider has more details at his disposal, but he does not intend to share them before the release of RE3.

As for potential remakes of other significant parts of Resident Evil, the insider made it clear that in the near future, count on the appearance of an updated Resident Evil Code: Veronica not worth it. Such a project, he said, is not being developed now and is not even in the pre-production stage..

A similar situation occurs with the revival Dino crisis. A few years ago, Capcom started a new game in the universe, but then it was canceled and buried. Nothing is happening with the franchise right now.

Returning to Resident Evil 8, an informant added that at one time, Capcom had a prototype with a third-person view, which may turn into something else, but the final game will offer a first-person camera. At the same time, RE8 will definitely not become an exclusive of VR-helmets, as the same Half-Life: Alyx.
